Enzymes in detergents

Enzymes have been added to detergents for decades. However, better enzymes are still needed (improved tolerance to other components of the detergent, activity at high or low temperature…).

We can also select specific enzymes for enzymatic cocktail formulation and optimize the cocktails according to target activities.

Some methods which can be used to improve enzymes: directed evolution (with L-ShufflingTM and EvosightTM), or the identification of native enzymes from extremophile strains (thermophile, psychrophile, halophile, …).
